Saint Paul teaches the Christian community to prepare a regular collection for believers who are in need. Generosity should not depend only on sudden emotion. It should become a disciplined and faithful part of Christian life. Paul also recognises that God has opened a great door for ministry, even though many people oppose him. An open door from God does not always mean that the work will be easy. Mission may be accompanied by resistance, sacrifice, and difficulty, but believers should remain faithful. Saint John addresses Christians at different levels of maturity. Their sins have been forgiven through Christ; they know the Father; the Word of God remains within them; and through that Word they can overcome evil. At the same time, John warns them not to love the sinful values of the world. Possessions, pride, uncontrolled desire, and worldly recognition pass away. The person who does the will of God remains forever. In Acts, the disciples gather on the first day of the week for the breaking of bread. During Paul’s long teaching, a young man named Eutychus falls from a window and appears dead. Through God’s intervention, he is restored, and the community receives great encouragement. This gathering shows the Church listening to apostolic teaching, celebrating communion, caring for the fallen, and receiving consolation together. The community does not abandon the one who has fallen; it surrounds him with faith and concern. Jesus tells His disciples that they may ask the Father in His name and receive the joy that comes from communion with God. He also warns them that they will scatter and leave Him alone. Yet Christ is not truly alone, because the Father remains with Him. Jesus concludes: “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage; I have conquered the world.” The Church lives between suffering and victory. Christians may experience weakness, opposition, separation, or fear, but Christ has already overcome the world. Therefore, believers must gather faithfully, strengthen the fallen, support those in need, remain rooted in God’s Word, and continue serving with courage.
