The star that guides the Magi reveals that Jesus was born not only for one nation, social class, or group of people. The nations are invited to come to Him, recognise Him as King, bow before Him, and offer Him the treasures of their hearts. The Magi journey with faith, but King Herod responds with fear. The same revelation of Christ produces two different reactions: humble worship from those who seek the truth and opposition from those who fear losing power. The faithful are therefore invited to imitate the Magi by seeking Christ sincerely and allowing God to lead them, even when the journey is long or uncertain. Saint John teaches Christians to test every spirit. The decisive confession of true faith is that Jesus Christ has truly come in the flesh. The Nativity is not merely a symbolic story: the eternal Son genuinely entered human history and revealed the Father’s love. God showed His love by sending His only Son so that humanity might receive life through Him. The reading from Acts recalls Joseph, the migration of Israel into Egypt, the suffering of God’s people, and the birth of Moses. Even through famine, displacement, oppression, and danger, God quietly prepared the way for deliverance. In the same manner, the birth of Christ fulfils a divine plan that developed through generations of salvation history. Saint Paul teaches that God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable. His plan embraces both Israel and the nations and reveals the immeasurable depth of His wisdom and mercy. No one should become proud before God, because salvation is always the work of divine grace. The star continues to invite every human heart: leave behind fear, pride, false worship, and spiritual darkness. Come to Christ, adore Him, and offer Him the gold of faithful love, the incense of sincere prayer, and the myrrh of sacrificial discipleship.
