ሎቱ ስብሓት

፲፫ / ሕዳር · 2026-11-22

Human beings were once separated from God through sin, but Christ reconciled us through His suffering and death. Saint Paul teaches that believers are now presented before God as holy, without blemish, provided that they remain firmly established in faith. Paul describes the great mystery now revealed to the nations: Christ in us, the hope of glory. The purpose of Christian preaching is not merely to give information, but to bring every person to spiritual maturity in Christ. Saint Peter calls believers to prepare their minds, remain sober, and place their hope fully in the grace of Jesus Christ. Christians must no longer return to their former desires. Because God is holy, His people must also pursue holiness in every aspect of life. We were not redeemed with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, the spotless Lamb. Therefore, our lives no longer belong to worldly powers, possessions, or false gods. In Ephesus, the preaching of the Gospel threatens the business connected with the temple of Artemis. The crowd becomes angry because the Gospel exposes both their idolatry and the financial interests built around it. This shows that true faith may challenge customs and systems that profit from false worship. Jesus reveals His divine authority: as the Father raises the dead and gives life, the Son also gives life. Whoever honours the Father must also honour the Son. Christ has authority to judge, to save, and to give eternal life. Glory belongs to Christ alone. Those reconciled by His blood must reject idols, live holy lives, remain faithful to the Gospel, and honour the Son through their words, choices, worship, and conduct.
